Business ClarificationsYou must know what you can – and what you can’t.
The ideal is, of course you nod yes to all the properties we mentioned above here. So it is not NOK to be open to new ideas, if you’re not at the same time is sustainable and can set you achievable goals.
But now the world is rarely ideal. Add Therefore noticed one of the perhaps most important properties: You should know your own strengths and weaknesses. Do you have this ability, you will be able to add in those areas where you are weak: For example, is a good craftsman, but do not like or understand economics and accounting, so you should find someone who can do this job for you instead of to spend time and effort to try to do it yourself. Your time is valuable. Use it to make money on it you can.

You can do a “self test” on how you have your strength and your weaknesses through a so-called SWOT analysis. The four letters SWOT represents the initials of the English words Strength, weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Correctly translated into Norwegian, this means: strength and weaknesses in relation to opportunities and threats.

Such an analysis will give you a general overview of your situation and your own resources, both those in favor and not least those that are a disadvantage for you in your situation that establishes.

The product / service
You will sell products or services – and live off the profits of this sale. In the clarification stage, it is important that you are specific when describing your products or services: Be precise when you write down what you plan to sell or do, how will you deliver this to your customers, etc.
Only in this way you can get valuable feedback in relation to the need for what you offer, if need be covered by other products and services, the price is acceptable, and the like.
In this phase, it is also important to be sensitive and open to customize products / services so that you are sure that you “meet” customers’ needs.

Market
In an initial phase, it is important that you obtain as much market knowledge as possible. Who are your customers? Do you have strong competitors? How big is the market in volume and over time?
The reason is of course that you must make an initial and overall assessment of the need for services or products, whether the needs are covered by other providers, products or substitutes: So if there are many who would like to buy these?
You must therefore be reasonably sure that you have goods and services sought by many NOK, and that they will pay a good NOK price before you put a lot of time and money in the project. Since the process must go much deeper at work, for example marketing plan.
Initially, you must also make sure to have a good NOK knowledge of the industry to operate in.

Experience
You should collect all forms of experience around what you want to start with, but consider both positive and negative input with equal interest. Some of the advice can save you a mistake, for burned crowns and a waste of time.
