Prerequisites

Building a house requires knowledge. Can you casting, carpentry and painting? Some you can own, and there is always someone who can help you with the things that you yourself are not so good. It can also get to take time before the house is finished. Are you patient NOK?

An entrepreneur needs knowledge in many areas. You need knowledge and experience in the industry to establish yourself in. You have to know what you can, and – almost as important – what you can not. And you need knowledge about how to manage your business.

The personal attributes are also important. Many successful business leaders have converging characteristics, so that they:

- Take initiative, and that they like the responsibility
- Are open to new ideas, and creates and develops opportunities
- Is optimistic, outward-looking, inquisitive, and dare to break the patterns
- Have good self-esteem, and know their own weaknesses and strengths
- Are sustainable, and sits goals as they reach
- Are good listeners to people’s needs, and good at building relationships with the outside world

Think about your own assumptions to start and build your own business from your idea. Think through what your strengths, not least how to compensate for your weaknesses.

You come in contact with a number of different people and organizations. They belong to your network that you should protect and develop. When the network grows, you get access to a growing base of knowledge and experience that is beneficial to you. Personal contact is always important.

Whether you are building a house or a business enterprise; make sure you can build, and / or that you have the help that is needed before you put the plans into practice. In some counties you can participate in establishing training that can make you even better equipped to operate your company.
